Omg rare minnesota state fair mention! no clue where butter obama is from but the sculptures of the girls are from the Princess Kay of the Milky Way contest across Minnesota, and are displayed at the state fair each year.

The bust of a middle aged man made out of butter was sitting on my bathroom counter. It turned and began to scream at me, but the scream was utterly silent. Everything was so silent. I was so frightened of the butter bust.

this was brilliant!

and did require unpacking, esp since Buttons didn’t know about butter sculpture. it’s not even uniquely American but butter sculpts have become a staple of USA state fairs. They’re usually life size, and kept in a large refrigerated glass room.

then Rhys went on about being a person under the butter sculpture. (Not soft spread or margarine…always butter.)

Anyway, the Roger corman movie Bucket Of Blood starring dick miller was based on a similar idea. I saw bucket of blood as a child and was damaged for life by it. 😂
